A Prayer a Day for East Asian Peoples
When Japanese travel or study abroad, their hearts are often more open to spiritual ideas. By God’s providence, many end up making Christian friends, attending church for the first time, or staying with Christian families. Bible studies, ESL classes, and hospitality serve as avenues for Japanese to interact with Christians and experience God’s love while abroad. Some become Christians and return to Japan with a desire to be discipled and plug into a local church. Others remain curious about how one can live as a Christian in Japan and want to learn more before believing. God has connected missionaries in Osaka with many Japanese who have spent time overseas. Friendships have blossomed, but more importantly, these returning Japanese are reading and hearing the gospel in their heart language, meeting Japanese Christians, and being drawn to faith in Christ.
Pray God will bring spiritual fruit.
