Day of Prayer and Fasting—Cults

“For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine, but . . . will multiply teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear something new. They will turn away from hearing the truth and will turn aside to myths” (2 Tim 4:3-4). Across East Asia, cults are stealing the sheep and false teachers are leading people away from sound teaching. Sometimes they subtly change God’s Word or attract people with false promises of riches and success. Others use more drastic methods like kidnapping and brainwashing.

Pray Christians will know God’s Word and discern the truth from lies. Pray they will test the spirits to know if they are from God (1 John 4:1). Pray those who do not yet follow Christ will be protected from these ravenous wolves dressed in sheep’s clothing and will have ears only for God’s Word.
