A Prayer a Day for East Asian Peoples

Due to tremendous efforts made by young people toward their education, dating relationships are usually discouraged until after college. Young adults then feel intense pressure to find a suitable mate and get married between the ages of twenty-five and twenty-eight. Usually family, friends, and colleagues begin to introduce prospective spouses. This can be challenging for local Christians, as candidates are almost always not Christians. Culturally, being unmarried after thirty years of age is shameful for the family in this culture where shame and honor are incredibly important.

As Christians seek to marry other Christians, pray they can hold to biblical values while they wait to find believing spouses and seek to honor God above man.
