A Prayer a Day for East Asian Peoples

During the annual summer Dong New Rice Festival, the Dong people honor their ancestors by harvesting unripe ears of rice. They make this sacrifice with the aim of appeasing their ancestors and wish for a plentiful harvest. They cook the grains into a porridge with duck or fish meat and consume the meal with their entire family.
