A Prayer a Day for East Asian Peoples

Many East Asian societies are notably competitive. Dense populations, an emphasis on education, and dreams of wealth feed the desire to compete for success on individual, corporate, or government levels. This competition can be very fierce and ethical lines are easily blurred if advancement by any means necessary is the only goal. Obviously, unchecked ambition and questionable ethical practices naturally lead to corruption.These problems are so common and frequent in East Asian countries that many expect nothing will ever change for the better. But we can ask God to intervene.

Pray international attention will trigger East Asian country leaders and their advisors to stop their harmful and often illegal practices. Ask God to reshape their ambitions into love for him and others and a passion to proclaim his gospel to the ends of the world.
