A Prayer a Day for East Asian Peoples

China has more cities with a population over one million than any other country. In the past four decades, its urban population has grown from 170 million to more than 800 million. Christians and Muslims have recently been targeted and encouraged to rethink their beliefs. Churches face restrictions and their Christian activities are closely monitored, if even allowed. Foreigners are less welcomed and less trusted than ever before. However, God is not restricted by governments or afraid of being seen. In fact, he encourages people everywhere to seek him. God has placed a longing for him in every human heart.

Pray this longing will drive people to call out to God. He is not far from the Chinese, and he has promised them that they will find him when they seek with all their hearts (Jeremiah 29:13).
