Trisha* and Ken* are good friends—so much so that Ken was willing to travel several hours by car and perform in a music concert at Trisha’s invitation. Ken is a published singer-songwriter, but good music wasn’t Trisha’s only motivation for inviting him. Trisha is a Christian, and during a meal with other believers, Ken heard the gospel. He didn’t become a Christian that day, but there was something remarkable about that encounter because he had an unexpected understanding of the gospel. This is uncommon for people of his culture who usually have had no exposure to the Word and struggle to comprehend its truth.
