A Prayer a Day for East Asian Peoples
In a world of distrust and uncertainty, it is easy to look at people as enemies, but they aren’t. Restrictive governments are not our enemies. Our neighbors are not our enemies. Those who mock us are not our enemies. The Bible clearly tells us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the powers of the dark world (Ephesians 6:12). That accuser and deceiver of old, Satan, works to cripple Christians by bringing doubt and fear into their lives.
Pray Christians in East Asia—be they American, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or any other nationality—will be confident in their faith. No matter what happens to upset their plans, pray they will truly believe that God is able to change any situation. Even if he doesn’t, pray they will hold fast to Jesus and not give up or give in (Daniel 3:17-18).
