A Prayer a Day for East Asian Peoples

At the time of this writing, Korea and Japan are in the midst of a major trade dispute and relations between the two nations are at a low. This fits an ancient pattern of animosity between the two countries. Their mutual history is filled with various conflicts. Korea was under Japanese rule for many years until the end of World War II. This, and particularly the colonial rule of the early twentieth century, has led to a difficult relationship between the two nations today.

Pray Korean and Japanese leaders will find common ground and bring the nations into a more peaceful coexistence and mutual cooperation, as they have been able to in the recent past. Pray Korean and Japanese people will set aside old grudges. Pray Korean Christians will be leaders of reengagement and peaceful relations between the two peoples.
