A Prayer a Day for East Asian Peoples
Historically, Osaka has been the commercial center of Japan and an industrial center that is key to the development of capitalism in Japan. It now functions as one of the command centers for the economy in the country. To keep this economic “machine” going, it must be fed with hours of overtime by the heads of families who leave their homes as early as 6:00 a.m. and return at midnight or later. Some mothers also work, try to maintain a healthy marriage, and raise the children almost single-handedly. Missionaries have come alongside these mothers by offering a time for them and their young children to gather in their buildings. They do crafts, cook, and study a biblically-based book about child-rearing.
Pray these ladies will come to know the Father who designed the family to glorify God.
