A Prayer a Day for East Asian Peoples
During Qurban, Muslim families honor Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice Isaac by killing a sheep or goat. All sacrifices in the Old Testament point to Jesus’ perfect sacrifice. But what does this holiday mean for Muslims? Each year that a sacrifice is made, one person in the family is chosen as the recipient of the sacrifice. The sacrifice applies only to the individual, and each Muslim needs at least one of these sacrifices in their lifetime. Without it, one cannot reach God in the afterlife.
Pray for Muslims who depend on their Qurban sacrifice will find true comfort in the sacrifice of Jesus. Pray for Muslims who live in fear of death will search for the Savior who can take their place on the day of judgment. Pray this belief in Qurban will serve as a bridge to bring many Muslims to the truth.
