A Prayer a Day for East Asian Peoples

Japan is a country that appreciates beauty in nature. Many parks and gardens are meticulously cared for and maintained with reverence. The Japanese traditional Shinto religion holds that “kami,” or gods, reside in rocks, mountains, trees, and waterfalls. Many shrines and temples are dedicated to honoring these gods. Japanese people need to know that there is a Creator whose power is displayed in his creation. Paul writes in Romans 1:20, “For His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what He has made. As a result, people are without excuse.” God alone deserves to be worshiped and honored by the Japanese. They need to know that true peace is available through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Pray all Japanese will hear this Good News and choose to follow Jesus.
