A Prayer a Day for East Asian Peoples

Faithfully investing in the people of a new culture involves learning the host language to a high proficiency. One couple felt quite discouraged about this challenge and wondered how they might succeed. They prayerfully launched into a learning program, then intentionally engaged every person around them. This led to growing relationships with neighbors and a shared interest group with whom they proclaimed the gospel in the local language. God provided what this couple needed and blessed them with an efficient arrival at solid language proficiency. Walking with clear motivation, they faithfully pressed on through a variety of unexpected challenges.

Pray men and women learning languages such as Japanese, Korean, and Chinese will have a clear vision for how to accurately proclaim the gospel among people who speak these languages (Colossians 4:2-4).
