Everyday Prayer for East Asia People
Day 13
Cheonggyecheon Stream is just under seven miles long and runs through downtown Seoul, South Korea, before flowing into the Han River. The stream was once hidden under an elevated highway when the country was focused on economic redevelopment after the Korean War. The elevated highway was removed in 2003 as part of an urban renewal project of downtown Seoul, and Cheongyecheon Stream was restored to its present condition. The banks of the stream are now popular with both tourists and locals for evening outings and strolls. Jesus has promised, “‘The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, will have streams of living water flow from deep within him’” (John 7:38). Intercede for spiritual awakening and restoration for Koreans. Pray Koreans will seek and believe in Jesus and experience the outflowing of rivers of living water in their lives.
