Loving Father, years ago Chengde was a summer mountain resort for emperors. Today many people are attracted to the city for its cool air and lovely scenery. We praise You, Lord, for faithful servants in Chengde who have opened their homes to become churches and training centers. Grow their faith as they make disciples, plant churches, and send missionaries. Give them wisdom and power to reach the summer tourists.

So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. 1 Corinthians 3:7
