XICHANG, CHINA
Xichang, nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas, is the hub for thousands of mountainous minority peoples. The city also hosts the annual torch festival, which originated from an ancient fable of a man who defeated God. Though annually hundreds of thousands of torches are lit in celebration, people there continue to walk in darkness. Father, we pray for the residents of Xichang to know You, the true God whose Son is the Light of the World.

Everything exposed by the light is made clear, for what makes everything clear is light. Rise up from the dead, and the Messiah will shine on you. Ephesians 5:13-14
