Day of Prayer and Fasting—Spirits

The majority of East Asians have ties to the spirit world. Whether they worship ancestors or gods, they believe these spirits provide guidance to those seeking answers. Fortune tellers, mediums, and offerings to the gods are parts of religious practices that go back thousands of years. To the average person, these gods are not evil, but protective. The gospel is veiled because the god of this age has blinded the minds of many East Asians so they cannot see its light (2 Corinthians 4:3-4). Until they know the truth, they will not see that they are being deceived and will blindly follow the gods of their ancestors.

Pray their eyes will open to the truth, their hearts will awaken to the deeper longing for things eternal, and their ears will hear God’s voice. Pray for centuries of bondage to be broken and captives set free.
