A Prayer a Day for East Asian Peoples

“‘I was sought by those who did not ask; I was found by those who did not seek Me. I said: Here I am, here I am, to a nation that was not called by My name’” (Isaiah 65:1). The Buriat live where China, Russia, and Mongolia meet. Many practice shamanism and allow mediums to control interactions between them and the gods. In the 1500s, Buddhist missionaries traveled to this area and greatly influenced the people and a mixture of beliefs developed. Under communism, many became atheists. Christian work has been successful among the Buriat, but they lack Scripture or gospel recordings in their language.

Pray the Buriat will hear God calling them in their own language and will lay down idols and traditions to follow him. Pray for resources in their heart language so they can grow in knowledge and obedience of God’s Word.
