A Prayer a Day for East Asian Peoples
Xi’an has a history of more than 3,100 years and has been the capital for thirteen different dynasties. Although Nestorian history says Christianity was first introduced to China through Xi’an in the year 635, it is still one of China’s unreached cities with fewer than 322,000 Christians out of a population of 12 million.
Pray local believers and churches will not only persevere in the midst of recent persecution from the government but will also grow stronger and more mature in their faith. Ask the Lord to save more people in the city than ever before. Plead for God’s grace and pray he will use Xi’an as a gateway city to reach out to the northwest area of China and beyond with the gospel.
