A Prayer a Day for East Asian Peoples

Korean popular music—K-pop—is a growing global phenomenon and the vanguard of Korean popular culture. Featuring such international stars as BTS and Psy, K-pop has developed a passionate and growing fan base, not only in Korea, but also the United States and around the world. BTS, in particular, is a boy band with enormous influence and popularity. It is great fun to dance along to Psy’s “Gangnam Style” and attempt some of the intricate choreography of BTS and other K-pop artists.

Pray God will utilize the global influence of K-pop to spread the gospel. Pray the Holy Spirit will use this music genre to turn hearts and minds to Christ. Pray the artists themselves will follow the Lord and be ambassadors for his name. Pray Christian fans of K-pop groups will guard their hearts from idolatry.
