A Prayer a Day for East Asian Peoples
Eight years ago, Baptist Global Response donated a small building in a temporary housing compound in Sendai, Japan, so people could have a place to gather. Many volunteer groups used the building to hold social activities. Missionaries began to hold monthly Bible studies, Christian singing, and fellowship events in this building. The group grew and moved to a larger meeting room in this same compound. Then after eight years, when most of the people had finally moved into permanent housing, God miraculously provided a public community center for continued meeting. Every month, about fifteen older adults gather for Bible talks and fellowship. Only one of these people is a Christian. We rejoice that God is working in these people’s lives, and long to see more trust in Jesus.
Pray with us for many more to believe and trust in Jesus.
